To qualify for assistance, you will need to meet eligibility requirements and share information about your income, savings, and expenses. Your healthcare professional must also provide information about your diagnosis to us.

*Which Patients are served by JFLW?
Patients living with breast cancer from initial diagnosis through admission to hospice. Patients must reside in Leon, Jefferson, Wakulla, Taylor, Franklin, Liberty, Madison and Gadsden counties to be eligible to apply for grants to cover living expenses and needed services.
*Where does JFLW get its funding?
JFLW holds fund raising events to increase community awareness and solicit donations. Local business partners also play a role in funding by making voluntary contributions to the fund as well as agreeing upon reduced rates for services provided to recipients.
*What types of services are paid for by JFLW?
Home/Children/Animals: Yard work, rent/mortgage, utilities, plumbing, electrical, handyman work, a/c heat repair, house cleaning, car maintenance, gas/transportation expenses, and groceries. Tutoring, sports expenses, clothing, counseling, scholarships. Vet care, boarding during treatments, adoption fees.
Health/Fitness/Recovery: Massage, gym memberships, yoga, health food store expenses, mental health counseling, family photography, pet therapy, music therapy.
*How can patients apply for Services?
Patients can apply through the foundation website, joannafrancislivingwell.org. Applications are evaluated by a board of directors and will only be considered if the following are included;
• Letter of medical need/disability from physician with statement of breast cancer diagnosis
• Description of non-medical , financial need, not to exceed $1200 per calendar year.
• Proof of residency in participating counties.
*What should I expect as an applicant for aid through JFLW?
Distributions are quarterly and depoend solely on generous donations from the community. So, each quarter will not be identical as the funds fluctuate.
*Length of time for acceptance?
Applications are reviewed on a quarterly basis by our board of directors
